The MA in Publishing from Oxford Brookes University is respected throughout the world. The course gives a solid knowledge of publishing processes and their management, and provides scope to develop specialist skills required for career development.

The MA in International Publishing is geared towards students who may already be working in publishing but want to increase their knowledge of international publishing management and issues related to publishing in a global environment. Students focus on international issues in their major project or dissertation.

The MA in Publishing and Language is targeted at those who wish to work in the field of international co-editions, translations, or international educational publishing. Students focus on language issues in their major project or dissertation.

The MA in Digital Publishing provides a focussed opportunity to examine forms of web publishing with particular reference to standards of mark-up and accessibility. It provides an opportunity for the practical investigation of the strategies to publish digital media using industry adopted technologies.

The MA in Book History and Publishing Culture is aimed at anyone interested in the history of the book and the publishing industry.

The European Master in Publishing is a two-year, international programme for the future publishers of Europe.

Excellent location

  • The city of Oxford has something for everyone. A beautiful, historic city, it has the most published authors per square mile of any city in the UK. Famous writers who have lived here include J. R. R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Philip Pullman, Colin Dexter and Mark Haddon. The Oxford Literary Festival takes place each Spring and in April 2011 we ran a speaker event with the author Marcus du Sautoy, the literary agent Felicity Bryan, and the Sunday Times journalist Cathy Galvin
