This is a 6-month, part-time internship, with the possibility of an extension to 12 months by mutual agreement
Hours: 14 hours (2 days per week); based in Edinburgh

This internship role would be suitable for a graduate interested in a career in publishing. It is an ideal opportunity to experience the workings of the Editorial Department of a leading academic Press.
Among other activities, the Intern will secure endorsements, clear incoming copyright permissions, handle gratis book orders, prepare Press Committee papers and assist the Editorial department with ad-hoc tasks.
The successful candidate will have a proven office experience and an interest in the publishing industry. Previous work experience in a publishing company or knowledge of the publishing process will be an advantage. The ability to work independently and be highly organised are vital to the role.
This internship is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the publishing industry. Previous interns have gone on to gain full-time employment in successful publishing houses including Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press.
