As a Journals Publishing Assistant, you’ll gain experience of various different aspects of publishing. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a wealth of development opportunities, with exposure to some high profile and prestigious Societies. You’ll be liaising with internal colleagues at all levels and will receive strong support from a highly skilled and very friendly team. Your colleagues in publishing will rely on you for excellent administrative support in the management and development of established journals. Your responsibilities will range from dealing with enquiries, to drafting reports, to organising and minuting meetings. Crucially, you’ll also help to enable and support strong relationships with our clients. That means you’ll play an important role in helping our business to grow and remain the top publisher of society journals.

Together with a degree, to join us you’ll need experience of using the Microsoft Office suite of programmes. We’ll also look for a good understanding of what’s required in an administrative working environment. Equally confident working solo and as part of a team, you’ll have the initiative and organisational ability to prioritise your own workload and meet every deadline. A strong and confident communicator, both in person and in writing, you can work well with people at all levels.
