Taylor & Francis Journals (academic publishers) have a vacancy for a Production Editor to manage the publication of a group of titles. The position involves the production control of a portfolio of academic journals in accordance with established procedures, house styles, schedules, budgets and quality requirements.

As a Production Editor your responsibilities will be:

• Project managing the publication process of a portfolio of titles from receipt of copy through to final print and online publication.
• Ensuring timely publication of manuscripts and issues through achievable targets.
• Coordinating and collating author’s and editors’ corrections.
• Working with external suppliers to ensure quality processes are maintained and publication speeds are adhered too.
• Monitoring and implementing schedules, progress chasing.
• Ensuring journal style sheets are accurate, complete and up to date.
• Building relationships and liaising with academic editors and other external/internal contacts.
• Maintaing quality control throughout the publication process.
• Monitoring journal costs and page budgets.

The successful candidate will ideally have prior experience of working in a busy journals production department, have a keen eye for detail, be comfortable working to tight deadlines, be target-orientated and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
