Publishing Editor - Behavioural Science, Health & Social Care Journals

We are looking for an ambitious, motivated individual to join a friendly and successful publishing team.
The Publishing Editor supports the management of our Behavioural Science, Health & Social Care journal list under the Routledge imprint of the Taylor & Francis Group.

This is a varied role, supporting the Managing Editor and Publisher on the list, with core responsibilities including: liaising with academic editors and editorial contacts; preparing for and attending editorial board meetings; assisting with financial and budgetary processes; maintaining the content on journal websites; assisting in Commissioning research; managing the group's administrative processes; overseas and UK conference attendance when required; and dealing with telephone calls, correspondence and routine enquiries.
Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have some administrative experience. You will need enthusiasm, a flexible approach to work, good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. Familiarity with academic journals would be an advantage. The job would suit someone looking for their first or second job in academic publishing.
This position is based at our offices in Milton Park, Abingdon and reports to the Publisher.
