Editorial Assistant | Trade | Oxfordshire. An established Trade publisher has a fantastic Temp role to start immediately for an Editorial Assistant to support the managing editorial team across a range of imprints. The company publishes accessible titles within the adult and children’s sector, which reflect a Christian worldview to a general audience in addition to resources for Christian families and communities.

 

This role will co-ordinate some of the editorial and design aspects of projects including co-ordinating reprints and clearing permissions in addition to a range of editorial tasks to include picture research and proof reading.

With excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will excel in multi-tasking and will enjoy working as part of a team.

You will have a good understanding of the editorial and production processes and will be theologically aware and biblically literate.

Due to the nature of the publications involved this role has a Genuine Occupational Requirement to be a practising Christian.

understanding of editorial, print and electronic book production processes, editing and proofreading skills, amazing attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work on several projects at any one time and have  working knowledge in MS Office and InDesign then please do get in touch.

Editorial Assistant - 12 months

Cambridge University Press

We are seeking an Editorial Assistant to work on a broad range of projects within our Engineering books team, supporting three commissioning editors.

 

A key responsibility of this position will be to manage projects from signature of contract, to receipt of complete and final manuscript. This will involve regular contact with authors as they write, working with them to ensure timely completion and delivery of manuscripts in the correct format, copywriting, and working closely with colleagues in our Content Management department.  Administrative work will also be required, and the posts will involve assisting commissioning editors with list management and development.
