Location: Winterbourne, Berkshire
Deadline for application: Saturday November 30, 2019
Papadakis is offering a part-time internship with a flexible start date from the beginning of September for a minimum of 3 months. With 5 new books being published this autumn, you will be involved in publicity campaigns and book launch events. This internship includes general administration, research, book fair preparation, and marketing, and offers a valuable introduction to the world of publishing.
This internship offers an insight into a wide variety of publishing duties. You will check facts, research images, update layouts, work to InDesign templates and extend our image library by scanning, re-touching and organising large amounts of image material. You will be involved in the preparation for the upcoming book fair in Frankfurt, for which you will prepare samples and sales material, build dummies and research publishers. You will also be involved in general administration and help to manage our website and social media presence. This internship is one of the best introductions to publishing available.
Candidates need to be highly organised, computer literate and able to handle a busy and varied workload.
If you would like to submit your application, please send your cover letter and CV to Alexandra Papadakis at email@example.com, detailing your studies and education, previous experience (if any) and availability.
Please note due to the high number of applications received we are unable to reply to all applicants individually.
