Bookcareers.com jobs initiative

The merits of social networking sites such as Twitter and LinkedIn in job hunting were among the topics discussed at the Oxford Bookcareers.com  job club held at Oxford Brookes University in March. Guest speaker Claire Russell, HR Advisor at John Wiley & Sons, Oxford, outlined Wiley’s recruitment procedures, and initiated a lively discussion on how to look for a job, how to write the best CV and  interview tips and techniques.

If you are from the publishing industry but are currently not working and if  you have undertaken considerable work experience placements or temporary jobs but have not yet found anything permanent, then the bookcareers.com jobs initiative could be for you.

BookCareers.com is running a series of meetings in Oxford to help unemployed publishers with careers advice, job searching, interview techniques and of course how best to present your CV.

The next Oxford meeting will take place at Oxford Brookes University on 29 April is cancelled.
