Children’s Publishing students visit Barefoot Books in Oxford

The colourful book shop, cafe and offices for children's publisher Barefoot Books entertained students on the MA publishing programme recently. Tessa Strickland explained the development of this international (offices in US) company which grew from her friendship with Nancy Traversy. Good stories are at the heart of their publishing ethos which includes an innovative sales force called Ambassadors whose personal networks promote the products and sell the books. Anyone interested in children's books should experience the shop and cafe, parents with small children will enjoy the craft actives. The building is sparkling presence on the Summertown retail high street at this time of year.
